Bringing the task to the trainee 

Troubleshooting an electrical relay in a wind turbine requires very specific training. But in order to simulate the circuit and realistic issues within it, Siemens Gamesa had to fly trainees half-way across continents to one of a handful of specialised training facilities. With the Sics Simulator, we succeeded in bringing the simulator to the trainees, by recreating the relay on a regular PC.

Full integration 

The Siemens Gamesa Sics Simulator lets trainees troubleshoot a wind turbine from anywhere a computer is ascessible. The simulator consists of a digital twin of the actual relay, complete with movable parts and photo-realistic components. It is built to work with Siemens Gamesa’s own software that simulates the behaviour of the relay – that way, the client’s existing solution is reused, and can be updated or changed independently of the Sics Simulator.
