why is this important
Practice makes perfect
With Kanda, trainees can step into realistic crane scenarios and train safely before ever operating a real machine.
Using a physical controller, the experience feels like a real operation with an actual transfer of skills.
No pressure. No risk. Just focused training that builds muscle memory and confidence where it matters.
Types of cranes
Train on full-size cranes
Imagine you can train your skills as a crane operator in real-life work scenarios with different types of cranes without traveling at all.
01
offshore platform
DAVIT Crane
The Davit crane is your link between vessel and turbine. Practise lifting a load from a moving transfer vessel up onto the transition piece. You can train in pairs and learn how to communicate, direct and operate a shifting load by taking turns.
In this safe training environment, operators can make mistakes with different loads, the physics make it look completely real, without anyone getting hurt or material getting damaged.
02
warehouse
Overhead Crane
The Overhead crane trains the everyday precision skills that matter most on a warehouse floor. There are two cranes available in the scenario, where you can practice guiding a bag or a pipe through a maze of boxes without knocking any over.
Operators can push their pace and make mistakes with different loads. The physics make every knock feel completely real, without anyone getting hurt or a single box getting damaged.

03
nacelle
Boom crane
The Nacelle Boom crane trains lifts in the tightest space on a turbine, where a small misjudgement has nowhere to go. Practise raising and lowering loads through the roof hatch and into the nacelle, working around fixed equipment, tight clearances, and limited sightlines.
Confined spaces leave little room for error in real life. In VR, operators can misjudge clearance or rush a lift as many times as it takes to build the awareness that keeps a real nacelle lift safe.
simple setup
the crane training kit
You can complete the crane training without the physical Scanreco controller. But to get real touch and tactical feeling of the leavers and weight of the controller, we recommend to look into a complete training-kit. It’s a simple setup, where you can get access to the Crane scenarios in VR with a headset and the controllers attached to the Scanreco hardware.
Once you have received the controller, we’ll guide you every step of the way to your first session with our Train the Trainer program, so you can get started without a hitch.
